If you stare at the top of your lover’s head or at their neck when you embrace, it’s a good sign.
A sign that you two have a good chance of being happy together.
While couples with one tall partner and one short partner look absolutely adorable side-by-side, research shows that they make the best couples.
As we all know, males and females have different physical and mental characteristics for very specific evolutionary purposes. Men are larger in stature than women because they’ve been protecting and providing for their mates and children since prehistoric times.
And when a man is taller and larger than his mate, it’s an indication that he’s strong and dominant and better able to protect his family, which does wonders for his ego, and therefore makes him happy. Likewise, it makes a woman happy when her guy can take care of her and her bambinos, and even though it’s 2019 and we don’t live in prehistoric times, this explanation is still completely valid, because it’s literally hardwired in our DNA. You can’t argue with biology.
A study published in the Personality and Individual Differences found that women often prefer taller men and this was reflected in their mood. Kitae Sohn, a professor of economics at Konkuk University in South Korea, did the research with 7,850 married women and confirmed that the greater height difference between husband and wife, the higher the overall happiness levels the wife was reported to be.
Well, unsurprisingly, this has everything to do with evolution, biology and psychology.
Furthermore, the researchers also revealed that the taller a man is, the more earning potential he has, which makes women very, very happy. I mean, yet another study uncovered the indisputable fact that chicks dig a man with a fat wallet more than anything else, which should give you an idea on just how important financial security is.
And I already know what you’re thinking, so I’m going to stop you before you get ahead of yourself — No, she’s not a gold digger if she wants to marry someone who has money, because as much as some people hate to admit it, money talks, bullshit walks.
On the Other Hand…
If you think the above study is a sign you should dump your current partner in search of someone taller, you should think again.
After all, everyone is different – and nothing proves that shorter men cannot make you feel just as attractive and content as taller men, especially if they are already attractive, resourceful, or happy.
